Delta light, IDW 2025

This immersive space planned for the company’s factory in Noida, was initially unveiled at India Design Week 2025. Here, memorability and experience became the two most important shapers of design, as the space seeks to transcend beyond being simply a curated presentation of architectural lighting products. The product on display is light and the core message is the ‘lighting experience’ and that has driven the design, layout, materiality and color palette for the space. The lighting gets divided into two layers: lit-forms - signature design elements reflecting Delta Light’s broader design aesthetic are strategically deployed towards creating mem orable, iconic impressions in the visitor’s mind; lit-functions - these sought to demon strate and emphasize a luminaire’s optics, intensity and brightness; including downlights that feature multiple sources in a single pocket and tubular luminaires that frame and shape a precise light beam; surface mounted luminaires. The bare walls feature a bespoke, commissioned artwork that flows across the walls. Contrary to the typical, where light is used to highlight art, here art was used to demon strate the effect and impact of lighting. It features a deliberate muted palette that prior itizes texture and form over vibrant colors. Entitled ‘Meuse’, after Belgium’s prominent river, this commissioned artwork seeks to marry the minimalist sensibility of Deltalight with an expressionist Indian culture. Yet allows the narrative to focus on the light and the light quality without drawing undue attention to itself.
