Across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, Mugulu - or Mugu - is a familiar threshold ritual: dots and lines drawn by hand, joined into intricate geometric patterns.
Precise, rhythmic, and yet temporary.
What makes Mugulu so fascinating is this quiet contradiction — it is created with great order, knowing it will eventually disappear.
This idea found a new expression in the ceiling of Bhogapuram Airport, where the underlying geometry of Mugulu is translated through light.
